Bitter in taste (the flower, vine and fruit) Jamaican Cerasee grows wild in Jamaica and is known throughout the island for its medicinal properties. Cerassee is nutritionally potent: rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, Calcium and Iron in their natural form; its vitamins and minerals absorb readily into the body and strengthen both the skeletal and immune systems.

With the characteristics of Jamaican Cerasee in mind, Cerasee Initiative (CI) focusses on the development and dissemination of creative strategies to strengthen, support, and promote the health and well-being of individuals and communities of the African Diaspora.
