Dr. Sylvia Rose-Ann Walker’s rich career has been profoundly influenced by Trinidadian born author and distinguished scholar Dr. Wilfred Cartey. Cartey became blind as an adult, but nonetheless rose to prominence in the United States as a literary critic and poet.

After Cartey’s death in 1992, Walker undertook inquiry into his life, work, and philosophy for her PhD monograph. Join Walker’s In Conversation talk on Cartey’s philosophy of Innerness and Potentiality.
