Dreams Don’t Expire: The Journey to Eden’s Door, a Memoir
Dr. Jennifer G. Bailey was born in Trinidad and Tobago and has lived and worked in the USA for forty five years in the corporate, academic and international development sectors. Funded by USAID, Bailey introduced Internet-delivered education in Mathematics and English in Liberia and Sierra Leone; and taught at Towson University, Bowie State University and University of Maryland Global Campus. Her odyssey to five continents, 36 countries, 35 provinces and states, and 137 cities, benchmarked her homeland, Tobago, as The Place to Be later in life. In 2012, at age 65, as a committee of one, Bailey returned to Tobago, broke ground on a 6.5-acre tropical forest she had purchased previously, and created the island’s only Eco-Residential Community, and nature park called Eden’s Door. Unknown to her, the property had been in the Bailey family for almost 100 years when she stumbled upon it. Bailey’s journeys affirm her belief that You’re never too old and it’s never too late to keep dreams alive. Bailey earned her PhD at The Ohio State University; MBA, University of Baltimore. She is the Editor of: The Global Issues Lectures, 2010; Author: Textures of Reflection (A book of poems) 2010, and Dreams Don’t Expire: The Journey to Eden’s Door, 2024, Xlibris Books.
