Today!

Today the universe and the earth open wide arms and welcome the body of my dear friend, wrap her in comforting acceptance and enfold all her deep exhalations: pain, loss, joy, frustrations, delight, fierceness, gentleness, laughter, sensuality, and love. There, in my dance training and career, and in my training and early career as a scholar, our friendship straddled nations – crossing many big and small waters. You have now crossed your final river.

Rest, Sweet Leonora. Rest. You have done Good work! And, always with your whole heart! Thank you for your exquisite presence in this realm!!
